Is Google Making us Stoopid?

In today's world it is not very popular to read books that are not online. We have become used to looking on digital devices for information and even reading books online which has affected how we read printed materials today. It has been found that us humans have become so accustomed to reading on different types of technology that it has actually rewired our brain to where it becomes more difficult to read printed materials.

The explosion of available information strikes another reason why we go strait to the internet. Because it is easy and fast. We no longer go to the library and find a book that is going to tell us the information that we were looking for, we are going to get on our electronic devices and google it.

Friedrich Nietzsche vision was failing and it was causing him pain to keeps his eyes focused on a page. This lead him to purchasing a typewriter. This allowed for his words to flow from his mind to the page. The typewriter changed his type of writing though. His work changed from arguments to aphorisms, from thoughts to puns, and from rhetoric to telegram style.

The clock has both positive and negative affects. It created a framework for the scientific mind and the scientific man. But it became a timekeeping instrument. Deciding when we do things during a duration of 24 hours. Deciding when to eat, work, sleep, rise. We started listening to the clock more than we did our senses.

Memory. Some people remember things differently. Whether they remember them from a digital or print source, everyone is different. But if everything goes digital, that leaves the print leaners in the dust.

Everyone knows what Google is, and it is what everyone goes to find their answers. Google's goal is to systematize everything. Google strives every day to find new information and make it easier for searchers to find the information they are looking for.

My kids are obviously going to enter a world of high technology levels. Yes, technology has its pros and cons, and yes some people love it and some hate it. But I think it is important for moderation. Im hoping there are still books for my kids to read because I think a balance of print and technology is important.
